To be honest, I never wanted to create a blog.
For most of my life, I didn’t even know what a blog was. I suppose I had read a few blog posts, but I didn’t know that they could be written by ordinary people. I thought a blog writer had to be some kind of expert.
My adult children kept repeating, “Mom, you should create a blog.” “Mom, you could write about that in your blog.” “Mom, when are you going to start your blog?” My daughters even created a document called “Blog Ideas for Mommer.” (Their nickname for me can be a topic of another blog post.)
When I read through their four-page, single-spaced list of blog ideas, I realized that there are so many things I want to write. I want to share parenting tips that turned out right (either accidentally or on purpose) and tell about things I’ve discovered while raising three successful daughters.
So, although I’m no expert, I do have things to say. And I think it’s pretty cool that my adult children want me to say them.
